Rocket fire on Kiev: the number of victims has increased again

As of 28 August, the number of people killed in Kiev as a result of the overnight attack by Russian troops has reached 15, including four children. Ten more people are reported missing. A search and rescue operation is ongoing in the Darnitsky district. After a missile hit a five-storey apartment block, one of the entrances was completely destroyed; the shell hit approximately at the level of the third or fourth floor.

As a result of the shelling, residential buildings and infrastructure were damaged, traffic on a number of key streets was temporarily blocked. Rescue services continue to remove the rubble and help the victims, residents of the capital are urged to stay in shelters and follow safety rules. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has called on international partners to react decisively to Russia's aggression.
