Russian Federation kills one person in Zaporizhzhya shelling
The Russian Federation shelled the town of Orekhov in Zaporizhzhia Region at midday today.
The head of the regional administration, Aleksandr Starukh, said that three more people had been injured:
"New Year's greetings" from Russians flew into Orekhov at midday. As a consequence, one person died and three were wounded. Earth to the dead. Condolences to family and friends.
At least two civilians fell victim to Russian strikes against Ukraine on the last day of 2022 and on the night of 1 January, 50 more were wounded.
On the afternoon of 1 January, authorities in Khmelnytskyy region also reported that a 22-year-old girl died in hospital from wounds sustained as a result of the shelling.
Also during the night, Russian artillery hit the swimming pool of Kherson State University.
