Ukrposhta employee distributed Russian propaganda newspapers

A 43-year-old employee of Ukrposhta turned out to be a collaborator, the Security Service of Ukraine has said.

After Izyum was seized, the woman supported the enemy and voluntarily started cooperating with him. For which she received an offer from the aggressor to head the local branch of Rastchta. In her new position, the woman distributed pro-Kremlin mail.

For this purpose, she organised the distribution of Russian propaganda publications to local residents. These included Komsomolskaya Pravda and Kharkiv Z. Also, copies of the occupation newspapers were forcibly distributed according to a "directive" right in the post office, the SBU press service has said.

In these newspapers, Russian authors justified the armed aggression of the Russian Federation and called not to trust the Ukrainian Armed Forces and to support the occupants.

It is noted that after the de-occupation of the region, the enemy henchwoman tried to avoid justice. She changed her address and phone number.

However, SBU officers found her location and detained her. Currently, the woman is suspected under Part 6 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (collaborative activity in the form of information activities in cooperation with the aggressor State and its occupation administration) and a preventive measure in the form of detention is chosen.

The suspect faces up to 12 years in prison.
