Close to nuclear base: Budanov reveals new details about the "Wagnerites" mutiny
During Prigozhin's mutiny on 24 June, his mercenaries moved deeper than they thought and approached the base where Soviet nuclear weapons were stored. Having taken possession of the weapons, the "Wagnerians" were going to "raise the stakes" of their mutiny.
The head of the Ukrainian military intelligence service, Kiryl Budanov, said this in an interview with Reuters.
According to Budanov, the "Wagnerites" have advanced much deeper than initially thought. The militants have reached the Voronezh-45 nuclear base. The Wagnerites' goal was Soviet-era nuclear weapons, which they were going to use to "raise the stakes" in their insurgency.

He added that the Wagnerites had almost achieved their goal. The mercenaries were literally separated from the nuclear weapons by doors.
The doors of the storage facility were closed, and they did not get into the technical part, - said the head of the GUR.
Budanov noted that "Voronezh-45" stores small nuclear devices that can be carried in a backpack. According to him, this is one of the key places where such devices are stored.
Earlier, Budanov said that Russia was on the verge of civil war, and that the population lacked a small internal conflict.
