Satellite images have emerged of how the occupants are building defenses in Kherson
The so-called occupation "authorities" of the Kherson region announced the "completion of evacuation" from the right bank of the Dnieper River.
As Ukrainian troops approach Kherson, the occupants are getting nervous. Pictures have emerged online showing that the Russians are not going to simply leave the city, but intend to engage in battle. They are building defensive fortifications. As analyst Benjamin Pitt tweeted, citing satellite photos, the occupiers are strengthening their defence on the right bank of the Dnieper
At the same time, he noted that Russia is ready to lose the city of Kherson and the entire left bank of the Dnieper:
Russians are carefully preparing for large-scale military clashes with the Ukrainian Armed Forces. New defensive lines, they believe, should help the Russian army improve the situation on the front
He noted that judging by satellite images, the Russian military built a long defensive line, which consists of a small number of lines
Earlier it was reported that the occupation authorities had withdrawn from the right bank of the Dnieper. The occupiers also blocked the movement of civilian vehicles across the Dnieper. The ban applies to river taxis, barges and other ships as well as a pontoon crossing. The occupiers moved their "administration" from Kherson to the left bank of the Dnieper. It is now located in the seized Skadovsk.
