Polish hauliers unblocked the checkpoint "Jagodin - Dorogusk"
Today, 11 December, the blockade of the Yahodyn-Dorohusk border crossing point ended at 14:00. Lorries are being cleared and passed through the border as usual.
This was reported by Infrastructure Minister Oleksandr Kubrakov.
According to him, after the blockade ended, 15 vehicles have already travelled towards Ukraine and are at the checkpoint. Another 25 trucks are being processed to Poland.
The blockade of the checkpoint "Yahodin - Dorohusk" lasted for more than a month, since 6 November.
During this time, the team of the Ministry and the Embassy dealt with the issue of unblocking almost daily. They held dozens of meetings and negotiations at all possible levels. It has been difficult work, but it is not yet complete. The border must be unblocked in full, and further blockades will not be allowed, - the Minister stressed.
The State Security Service of Ukraine noted that during the protest of Polish carriers for a day 100-130 lorries issued documents for entry into Ukraine for exit - about 30. While in the blockade at the checkpoint passed 1200-1300 trucks.
We shall remind you that recently Ukrzaliznytsia started delivering trucks from Ukraine to Poland by railway. The first batch of Ukrainian lorries left on the weekend.
