Polish Foreign Ministry says some NATO countries have sent servicemen to Ukraine
By attacking Ukraine, Russia has shown that it is civilisationally incapable of accepting Western values and cannot coexist peacefully with its neighbours.
Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski has said that "some countries", which he will not name, have already sent their servicemen to the territory of Ukraine. He said this during a discussion on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Poland's accession to NATO in the Polish parliament.
Unlike other politicians, I will not list these countries," the diplomat said.
Speaking about assistance to Ukraine, he noted French President Emanuel Macron's initiative to send a NATO contingent to Ukraine and supported it.
At the same time, Sikorski said that the West should approach the confrontation with Russia "inventively" and "realise a creatively defined and asymmetric escalation".
The Polish foreign minister added that by attacking Ukraine, Russia had shown that it was civilisationally incapable of embracing the Western values that defined it as a country, that it could not coexist peacefully with its neighbours, and NATO should return to its original role.
Earlier, French President Emmanuel Macron admitted the possibility that troops of other states could be deployed to the territory of Ukraine.
