Podolyak and Arakhamia announced their readiness to come to Mariupol for negotiations with the Russian Federation
Members of the negotiating group with the Russian Federation David Arakhamia and Mikhail Podolak announced their readiness to go to Mariupol for negotiations on the evacuation of civilians and the Ukrainian military.
Mykhailo Podolyak wrote this on Twitter.
Yes. Without any conditions. We are ready to hold a special round of negotiations in Mariupol. One on one. Two by two. To pick up our guys, Azov people, military, civilians, children, the living and the wounded. Everyone. Because they are theirs. Because they are in my heart. Forever and ever. No options.
Arakhamia also announced his readiness to negotiate in Mariupol.
Mikhail Podolyak and I are ready to arrive in Mariupol for negotiations with the Russian side on the evacuation of our military garrison and civilians. Representatives of our delegation are in constant contact with the Ukrainian forces in Mariupol. Today, in a conversation with the defenders of the city, a proposal was made to hold a round of negotiations on the evacuation of our military garrison right on the spot. For our part, we are ready to leave for such negotiations at any moment, as soon as we receive confirmation from the Russian side.
Earlier, the proposal of Podolyak and Arakhamia was announced by the deputy commander of the Azov regiment Svyatoslav Palamar. He stressed that the civilians of Mariupol, who are in shelters at Azovstal, cannot leave because of the constant Russian shelling. From the first day of the full-scale Russian invasion, the defenders of Mariupol have been asking to create conditions for civilians to leave the city.
