Overnight shelling by Kiev's RF: six injured, underground and residential building damaged

On the night of 21 July, Russian troops attacked Kiev again.

As a result of the shelling, one person was killed and seven others were injured, including a 15-year-old girl.

According to police, the strikes hit several districts of the capital from Goloseyevskyy to Shevchenkivskyy. In the city damaged:

  • a kindergarten, a supermarket and kiosks,

  • garages and cars,

  • warehouses,

  • as well as the above-ground part of Lukyanivska metro station - it is temporarily closed.

The picture of consequences by districts

Solomenskyi district: a man died here - the exact circumstances of his death are being clarified.
Darnitsky district: six people were injured - five adults aged 36 to 55 and a teenager.
Shevchenko district: an elderly woman was hospitalised.

Law enforcers, rescuers and public utilities are working on the ground. Police are documenting the aftermath of the shelling and providing emergency assistance to the injured.

The attack on Kiev was part of a large-scale shelling of Ukraine on the night of 21 July. Kharkiv and Ivano-Frankivsk were also hit. Russia again used drones and missiles of various types. Such strikes occur almost daily - since the start of the full-scale invasion, they have become part of a constant tactic to pressure civilian infrastructure.
