UN report: Russia has already killed more than a hundred Ukrainian civilians in 2023
In total, Russia has killed over 7,000 Ukrainian civilians since 24 February 2022.
This was reported by the press service of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees.
According to the international organization, 104 Ukrainians were killed between 1 and 15 January 2023 because of Russia's attack on Ukraine.
During this time, 36 men, 21 women, two boys and a girl were killed in Ukraine. The gender of another 44 dead is not yet known. Also in the last two weeks, 284 people were injured in Ukraine: 80 men, 39 women, six girls and four boys. There are four children and 147 adults injured, whose gender has not yet been established.
However, the number of wounded and killed could be higher, because the UN is still waiting for confirmation of some of the casualties.
So far, it is certain that 7,031 people have been killed since 24 February and 11,327 others have been injured. However, due to the intensity of the fighting, information is delayed.
