An officer who beat up a soldier in Ivano-Frankivsk region has been convicted
In March of this year, a National Guard officer beat a subordinate who refused to follow orders.
A commander has been found guilty of abuse of power or official authority by a military official committed under martial law (part 4 of Article 426-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). This was reported in the Office of the Prosecutor General.
Prosecutors in court proved that on 18 March 2023 on the territory of one of the barracks in Ivano-Frankivsk region platoon commander hit in the chest and pushed on the table his subordinate who refused to carry out his orders, - stated in the message.
The dispute arose because of the refusal of the soldier to re-clean the area where the senior lieutenant wanted to send him.
It is noted that the officer admitted his guilt and sincerely repented. He was sentenced to 1.5 years of detention in the disciplinary battalion of the military.
Earlier Socialportal reported that in Kiev under unknown circumstances killed a military officer. The event occurred in July 2023 in one of the capital's hospitals. On the eve of death the serviceman was in an agitated, inadequate state.
