on 7 August, mass searches in Dnipro city council take place

Theinvestigative actions are taking place as part of the investigation into the case of embezzlement of funds allocated for repair works. The searches started in the morning of 7 August 2024 and are still ongoing.

At the moment there is no official information from the regional police and prosecutor's office yet, but sources confirm that the operation is of a large-scale nature.

This is not the first case of searches in Dnipro. Similar activities were already carried out last year, as well as in 2019, when violations were revealed during the repair of the Central Bridge.

Currently, investigators are focusing on checking the activities of local officials in connection with the possible embezzlement of budget funds allocated for the repair of the city's infrastructure
