OK South: Occupiers in south set up new defence lines away from front line
The occupiers realise that they will be forced to retreat.
Nataliya Humenyuk, a spokesperson for the Defence Forces in southern Ukraine, said in a TV marathon:
We observe from a military point of view that they are setting up new defensive lines deeper and farther away from the front line. This means that they are aware that they will need such defence. They have retreats to it in their future plans.
Gumenyuk noted that the occupiers are using the local population as a human shield:
This is an imitation of "caring" for the local population in order to convince them how much they need the "Russian world". Also the occupiers want to ensure their own security in this way. They always hide behind the peaceful population and they need "density" of this population in the places where the enemy will set up new bases for themselves.
