One of the Russian Federation's marine infantry brigades has been destroyed and rebuilt eight times since the war began

This is the 155th Marine Infantry Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces.

This is reported in the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) daily report.

The 155th Brigade is known to have taken part in attacks in the Ugledar direction. The brigade was unable to engage in sustained combat in the direction. The leadership used "human wave" style attacks, for which it was heavily criticised.

The Institute also added that the Russian Federation is not abandoning its attempts to capture Ugledar, despite significant losses in personnel and equipment

Experts point to reasons that make the capture of the town impossible

  • the difficult terrain;
  • lack of combat power;
  • inability to attack the AFU by surprise.

The analysts' report also said that the so-called "big" Russian spring offensive appears to be "approaching a climax".
