A serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has been beheaded by Russian occupants in Donetsk Region.

Law enforcers have recorded new evidence of the criminal policy of the Russian Federation, which is aimed at the destruction of Ukrainians. This was reported by the Prosecutor-General of Ukraine Andriy Kostin in social network X.

The office of the Prosecutor General received information that the Russian military was ordered not to take the defenders of Ukraine captive, instead brutally kill them.

The beheading of a Ukrainian serviceman by Russian occupiers was recorded in Donetsk region.

This is a terrible barbarism that has no place in the 21st century. And this is yet another proof that the war crimes committed by the aggressor are not isolated incidents, but a planned strategy of the Russian regime," Kostin wrote.

According to the Prosecutor General, such orders to the military of the army of the Russian Federation were given at the level of the leadership of the battalion and company of the occupation troops.

Kostin assured that the crimes of the occupiers will not go unpunished. And also called on other countries "to isolate and punish the terrorist country".

Law enforcers have launched a pre-trial investigation into the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war, coupled with premeditated murder (part 2 of article 438 of the Criminal code of Ukraine), reports the press service of the Office of the Prosecutor General. Investigators are establishing all the circumstances of the incident and checking the involvement of specific Russian servicemen in the crime.
