Night attack on Kiev: rescuers retrieved the body of another victim, death toll rises
Russian Federation's overnight attack on Kiev killed 14 people.
The rubble of a destroyed house continues to be removed in Solomenskiy district. Russian troops launched one of the largest attacks on Kiev on the night of 17 June. As a result of a combined strike by missiles and drones, 14 people were killed and 117 others were injured. This was reported by the State Service of Ukraine for Emergency Situations (SSES).
As of 19:50 in the Solomensky district on the Boulevard Vaclav Havel rescuers extracted from under the rubble the body of one victim. Work to remove the rubble continues.
Attack on 17 June
On the night of 17 June, the Russian army attacked Ukraine with about 500 attack drones and dozens of missiles. The most severe consequences were recorded in Kiev.
In Solomenskyi district, an entire entrance of a nine-storey building was destroyed by a Kh-101 missile, and a fire broke out in a five-storey building. Damage was also caused to residential buildings and infrastructure in Darnitsky, Podilsky, Shevchenko and Svyatoshinsky districts. A total of 27 objects in different parts of the capital were affected.
Data on the dead and injured continue to be clarified. Rescue work continues.
