New Commander of the Terodefense Forces Appointed

President Volodymyr Zelensky has appointed Major General Igor Tantsyura as Commander of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Previously, this position was held by Yuri Galushkin.
The new appointment is mentioned in the corresponding decree .
To appoint Major General Tantsyura Igor Ivanovich as commander of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the document says.
Previously, Tantsyura served as Chief of Staff of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
On May 2, he was awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky III degree "for personal courage and selfless actions shown in the defense of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, loyalty to the military oath."
