Kremlin-linked neo-Nazi paramilitary group Rusich threatens the Baltics

Neo-Nazi paramilitary Russian group Rusich, linked to the Kremlin, has asked its members to provide intelligence on border and military activities in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia, The Guardian reports

According to the portal, the official Telegram channel Rusich has issued a call to share information about border outposts and military movements in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia. The neo-Nazis want access to patrol routes, personal details of military personnel and their relatives, information about surveillance systems and so on.

The publication's sources said on condition of anonymity that the move by Rusich may indicate frustration with the Kremlin and dissatisfaction with the way Putin's war in Ukraine is going.

They added that the Kremlin could lose control of its far-right Russian paramilitary organisations, which could use more extreme methods, raising fears of escalation in the event of an attack on a NATO state.

Sources believe that intelligence gathering by the Rusich group is unlikely to be overseen by the Kremlin
