War criminal Girkin returns to Moscow

Girkin said that incompetent command of his regiment and pressure "from above" were to blame for his failure to fight.

This was reported by UNIAN.

In a Telegram the former leader of the militants of the so-called "DPR", war criminal Igor Strelkov-Girkin wrote:

"I am in Moscow. "Attempt #3 to take direct part in combat operations against the armed forces of Kiev's respected partners (they are now called "militants" in MoD summaries) was unsuccessful, although it was very close to doing so.

Girkin published a certificate stating that he was a colonel in the position of grenade launcher. He said that he had joined one of the "DPR" small arms regiments and that unofficially he had been chief of staff, travelled to Donetsk and been to the front-line town of Svatovo.

Girkin said what prompted his return to Russia:

"From October until the end of November I was still in theN battalion ofthe N Regiment illegally, carried weapons and ammunition illegally, travelled illegally to the area where I carried out the SVO and to the frontline zone. Had something happened to me on the said trips - should I explain that it would have been passed off as 'the adventurer Girkin's amateurism' or (at best) an accident while carrying out 'volunteer activities'? With a complete lack of commitment from the RF army/'DPR' and the state towards me.

Girkin resented the fact that the regimental command knew about all this, but received help from Girkin with manning, food and vehicles, so he kept quiet about all these facts. He also said that he decided to return to Moscow because his regiment, as it turned out, was no longer fighting.
