How much more dangerous is the Russian Black Sea Fleet today for Ukraine

Vladimir Zelenski: The less Russian Black Sea Fleet, the safer the Black Sea.

The AFU General Staff, as of 11 November 2022, reported the destruction of 16 ships of the Russian Navy.

The most significant are the large landing ship Saratov, the missile cruiser Moscow, the large landing ship Novocherkassk, and the large landing ship Caesar Kunikov.

In this connection, many Ukrainian and international experts rushed to declare that the Russian Black Sea Fleet is finished, it will no longer be able to recover from such a blow.

However, there are those who urge not to rush to conclusions.

According to them, the Russian Black Sea Fleet is wounded but still dangerous.

Thus, according to Andriy Ryzhenko, former deputy chief of staff of the Ukrainian Navy, Russia still has ships that are carriers of cruise missiles and do not stop their duty in the Black Sea. The Russian Black Sea Fleet theoretically possesses another dozen of such ships.

but in reality there are three surface ships ready to launch cruise missiles: the frigate Admiral Essen and two corvettes Bujan-M (project 21631).

Also recently two combat-ready submarines of project 06363 (the Black Sea Fleet has a total of six such submarines) arrived in Sevastopol from their home base - Novorossiysk.

In other words, Russia currently has three ships and three submarines in the Black Sea that can launch cruise missiles.

however, Russia cannot reinforce its fleet in the Black Sea - Turkey has not allowed any ships there since the start of the war.

ryzhenko believes that so far the "country without a fleet", as Western experts call Ukraine, is defeating the enemy's naval forces through ingenuity and courage. And it shatters myths about the "invincibility" of the Russian fleet.
