A group of Ukrainian soldiers died on Russian territory during a combat mission
The group most likely hit a minefield.
This was reported by a serviceman of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Yevhen Karas, on Telegram.
on 26 December, the Russian Federal Security Service said that Ukrainian servicemen had allegedly infiltrated the territory of the Bryansk Region. It also reported that the Ukrainians had been killed
The details of the Ukrainian military were also made public. The special service said that the following were killed while trying to enter Russian territory: Yuriy Gorovets, born in 1988, call sign "Svyatosha", whom the Russians called the group commander; Maxim Mikhailov, born in 1990, call sign "Nepiypivo"; Taras Karpyuk, born in 1984, call sign "Tarasy"; Bogdan Lyagov, born in 2003, call sign "Apollon".
The deaths of the Ukrainian servicemen were subsequently confirmed by Yevhen Karas, an AFU fighter. The group most likely hit a mine field. Karas told his own Telegram about the dead.
Taras was a real warrior. He fought with the police back in the noughties, took part in anti-liberal rallies. Not surprisingly, he was one of the first to go to war in 2014. Near Ilovaysk he was wounded in close contact with the enemy. Separ shot Taras from 15m away. He missed, hit the tracer magazine. Those caught fire and started exploding. He received long treatment. After the start of the full-mass war he left for the front.
Who was Yuri Gorovets.
A successful saboteur. This was not his first reconnaissance outing. The Russians paid a terrible price... Nationalist. Christian. Actor. Traveller. Veteran. Long-time member of Dmitry Korchinsky's Brotherhood community.
He had known the fighter Maxim Mikhailov, nicknamed "Not Drinking Beer", for a long time
Maxim Nepiypivo was a true friend. Very colourful, always in trousers, a vyshyvanka and a Cossack pipe. How many enemies you have killed will be legendary, as will how many girls' hearts you have broken. Maxim went to Kuban before the Maidan to organise protests in Russia. I will never forget the time I met you in 2012
Bogdan Lyagov "Apollo" Evgeniy Karas did not know him personally.
From the beginning of the war, the 19-year-old began to fight. He immediately volunteered for a sabotage group. You can imagine the number of successful operations since February... The guy is extremely brave. He always volunteered. And although he lamented that because of his young age he was often not taken on the most difficult missions, "Apollo" was happy. He was considered brilliantly capable, because he showed some of the best results in physical and tactical training.
