In Prykarpattia, Russian missile takes 8-year-old boy's life
In Kolomyia, Ivano-Frankivsk region, an 8-year-old boy was killed today, 11 August, during a Russian rocket attack.
This was reported by the city head of Kolomyia Bohdan Stanislavsky and the head of Ivano-Frankivsk OVA Svitlana Onishchuk.
It is reported that at the time of the missile strike the child was in the yard and received numerous shrapnel wounds. Within minutes the ambulance arrived.
The boy was hospitalised in critical condition with severe injuries. For more than two hours our doctors fought for his life, but, unfortunately, without success, - said Svitlana Onishchuk.
Bohdan Stanislavskyy said that on 12 and 13 August the Kolomiya community declared days of mourning for the dead boy.
Volodya was born in the village of Tsenyava and moved to Kolomyia with his parents. He studied at the lyceum № 2. This year he finished the second grade. The boy was a very inquisitive, diligent and cheerful child.
