Children in the temporarily occupied Luhansk region are forcibly given Russian passports
People who do not want to take a Russian passport are harassed in every way possible.
This was reported by the Luhansk regional military administration in Telegram.
The Kremlin is rushing to forcibly passport residents of the occupied Luhansk region. What they have not seen fit to do for eight years, they are trying to manage in a few months to instil despondency into Ukraine and, at the same time, to strengthen their own propaganda.
The Luhansk OVA said that the procedure for applying for recognition of a child living in the occupied territory and under the age of 14 as a Russian citizen has even come into force. It is mandatory for one of the parents to have a Russian passport.
In addition, people who do not take a Russian passport are immediately subjected to job cuts or denied social benefits. The occupiers leave no time for reflection.
