On 14 September, Russians shelled Novodmitrivka in Kherson Region after midnight. One of the shells hit a private house, in the basement of which there were children at the time.

This is reported by the National Police of Ukraine.

A 6-year-old boy died under the rubble of the house, his 13-year-old brother was seriously injured, he is now in a coma and doctors are fighting for his life," the police said.

Also injured were three neighbours who ran to help and came under repeated fire. An 18-year-old girl has a mine blast injury and a foot wound, a 24-year-old man has a mine blast injury and contusion, and a 60-year-old man has a shrapnel wound to his leg.

An ambulance crew that was treating the wounded also came under Russian fire. The vehicle was hit by shrapnel, but the doctors were not injured.
