More than 300 cruise missiles fired towards Kyiv in a year
Over the year, the enemy has fired more than 300 cruise missiles of various types and nearly 400 attack UAVs in the direction of Kyiv. Therefore, the city's priority, as well as other regions of Ukraine, is to build up air defence systems.
This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv city military administration.
According to statistics for Kyiv alone, over the past 12 months, the Rashists launched in the direction of the capital: more than 300 cruise missiles of various types; 14 ballistic missiles; almost 400 strike UAVs of the Shahed type," the statement said.
KMVA chief Serhiy Popko noted that the enemy has enough weapons for massive attacks on Ukrainian cities, so the defenders need more air defences.
Therefore, building up air defence systems is a priority for both Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities. We will not give up any weaponry. Because Ukrainian air defence soldiers have long ago proved to the whole world that they are capable of creating the seemingly impossible - effective air defence systems that combine the latest and old models, Soviet and NATO. Give us weapons and we will find an effective use for them," Popko said.
According to him, Ukraine expects help from its partners, noting that "every air defence missile system, every Gepard or every Piorun is a preserved life and a contribution to our Victory".
