Moldova denies Russian Defence Ministry accusations against Ukraine
Moldova said it is cooperating with foreign partners and will inform the public if the country is threatened.
This was stated in a statement of the Telegram channel Prima Sursă, which is Chisinau's official channel for verifying information.
According to the journalists, the Moldovan authorities have denied the statement of the Russian defence ministry. The occupiers said that Ukraine was allegedly preparing a provocation in unrecognised Transnistria.
The state authorities do not confirm the information disseminated by the Russian defence ministry this morning. We urge calm and to obtain information from official and verified sources of Moldova. Our agencies cooperate with foreign partners, and in case of a threat to the country the public will be informed immediately
It is worth recalling that on Thursday morning, the Russian Ministry of Defence accused Ukraine of allegedly wanting to carry out a provocation "involving the nationalist formation Azov".
Earlier, Moldovan Prime Minister Dorin Recean said that the Moldovan authorities were aware of several scenarios for destabilizing the situation in Moldova. However, he spoke about the danger coming from Russia.
