The Ministry of Health will allow everyone to make a booster twice

The Ministry of Health plans this month to give permission to all citizens of Ukraine to get a second booster vaccination against COVID-19. This was announced by the chief sanitary doctor Ihor Kuzin for Ukrinform .

He noted that the second booster is being made now, however, such a vaccination is offered to older people and those who are at risk - have chronic diseases. .

Most likely, a decision will be made to expand the second booster for everyone. We will recommend and give the opportunity to make a second booster for all people, depending on their desire. This option will be provided, I think, by mid-September, Kuzin noted.

He stressed that in this case, those who wish to make a second booster will not be denied a vaccination point.

According to the chief sanitary doctor, the second booster will help protect against the Omicron strain, the distribution of which is again gaining momentum in the world.

If a person missed a vaccination, or there is a basic course and he did not have time to make a booster, then, of course, a person should come and be vaccinated, because in fact an incomplete vaccination course does not have such protection as a full one, - said the chief medical officer.

It should be noted that in Ukraine the quarantine and the state of emergency due to the coronavirus were extended until the end of the year.
