Ukrainian defence minister reveals what fighter jets Ukraine plans to receive
Reznikov believes that Ukraine will have two or three types of fighters and will have one main "bird".
Ukrainian Defence Minister Oleksiy Reznikov told this in an interview with Bild.
Reznikov believes that Kiev will receive fighter jets sooner or later. The algorithm of actions will be approximately the same as in the case of receiving tanks from Western partners. First there should be a coalition.
I think it (providing fighters to Ukraine) will again be a kind of coalition, we will have one main type and others. In the tank coalition the main "animal in the zoo" is Leopard from Germany, but we also have Challenger, Abrams, light tanks from France. But the main battle tank is Leopard. I am sure that we will have two or three types of fighters, there will be one main "bird". And everything will depend on which one will be best for Ukraine. For our airfields, for our engineers, for maintenance.
It is worth recalling that earlier Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba also expressed confidence that Ukraine would receive fighters. We would be most interested in deliveries from the USA, the UK, France and Germany.
