Massive rf attack on Ukraine. What is known as of now

The enemy attacked 15 regions of Ukraine today.

According to the Kiev MIA, the strike began at around 3 a.m. with an attack by numerous attack UAVs. Up to a dozen such drones from different directions approached Kiev from different directions, but were destroyed while still on the outskirts of the city.

And around 5am, the Ukrainian Air Force reported that the enemy had put 11 Tu-95MS strategic bombers in the sky. The Ukrainian Navy recorded 4 Kalibr missile launchers entering the sea, with a total salvo of up to 28 missiles. Subsequently, the enemy took to the skies 6 Tu-22m3 strategic bombers, followed by 3 MiG-31K with Kinzhal missiles. To all this arsenal were added launches of ballistic missiles from Crimea and western regions of Russia.

"Ukrenergo" is forced to apply emergency power cuts to stabilise the system.

What is known as of now:

• Kievshchina. The number of wounded as a result of the rf army attack on the Kiev region has risen to three people. Among them - a 5-month-old baby, - reported in the regional police.
• In Kiev air defence destroyed 15 missiles and drones each, emergency blackouts have been introduced in the capital - KGVAIn addition, several ballistic missiles were fired, including Kinzhal. The attack was launched by kamikaze drones, which were destroyed by air defence forces on the outskirts of Kiev. The air alert in Kiev has been going on for more than six hours.
• Odessa. In Odessa region there are 7 wounded as a result of the Russian attack. Among them are three children - boys aged 10 and 7 and a 10-year-old girl, police said. The target of the attack was energy and civilian infrastructure in the region, OVA chief Kiper said.
• Zhytomyr region. A woman was killed and residential buildings and critical infrastructure were damaged.
• Vinnichchyna, Zaporizhzhya, Rivne, Lviv, Sumy regions - there are hits to critical infrastructure.
• Sumy region. There was a hit in the railway infrastructure, damaged the contact network and buildings, there was a wounded person.
• Lutsk. One person was killed, 5 injured.
• Nikolaev region. It is known about three wounded.
• Dnipropetrovsk region. One dead and one injured.
• Poltava region. The enemy hit an industrial facility, five people were injured in the region.

Movement of attack UAVs as of 13:30 on 26 August:

1. Several groups of strike UAVs in Kievshchyna, heading towards Vasylkiv.
2. UAVs in the north of Cherkasy region.
4. "Shahed" in eastern Poltavska Oblast heading west.
5. "Shahed" in the south of Sumshchyna heading north, - AFU SAR.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has commented on Russia's large-scale attack, which became one of the largest during the war.

More than a hundred missiles of various types and about a hundred Shahed drones were fired during the combined strike on Ukrainian territory. The attacks targeted critical civilian infrastructure in most regions of the country, from Kharkiv and Kiev to Odessa and western regions.

Like many previous strikes, this one was despicable and targeted civilian objects," Zelensky emphasised. Unfortunately, there are dead and dozens of wounded, who are now receiving the necessary medical care.

The President also noted that the energy infrastructure was damaged, which led to power outages in some areas. However, repair teams have already started restoration work and electricity will be restored soon.

Zelensky added that the responsibility for the continuation of terror lies not only with Russia, but also with the international community. According to him, Russia's terrorist actions continue because the world allows it. The President called on international partners to take decisive action:
