London announced additional assistance to Ukraine

Johnson offered Ukraine permanent economic and humanitarian support from Britain.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, in a telephone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, announced his readiness to provide additional military assistance. The head of the British government also added that London would provide economic and humanitarian support to Kyiv. It is reported by Sky News .

Johnson's spokesman confirmed to the publication that a telephone conversation had taken place between the prime minister and Zelensky. During the conversation, the head of the British government declared his commitment to strengthening Ukraine.

Johnson confirmed that the UK will continue to provide additional military assistance to Ukraine in order to give the Ukrainians the weapons they need for defense, the publication quotes a representative of the British prime minister as saying.

Johnson also offered Ukraine permanent economic and humanitarian support from the UK.

Recall that the Ambassador of the United Kingdom Melinda Simmons announced her return to the capital of Ukraine after a forced evacuation before the start of the war.

British diplomats maintained their presence in Ukraine after the embassy was evacuated in mid-February. The mission staff worked in Lviv, but did not provide consular services.

The day before, British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss offered to supply Western weapons to Georgia and Moldova because of threats from Russia.
