Supporting Ukraine remains a strategic priority for Britain, and co-operation with allies is reaching a new technological level.

The UK has announced a large-scale military support package for Ukraine worth over 13bn pounds. London says that the support will be long-term and systemic, RBC-Ukraine quoted UK Defence Procurement Minister Luke Pollard as saying.

The UK has pledged more than £13bn in military support for Ukraine. And we will continue to share technology and experience gained on the battlefield," Pollard emphasised.

One of the key areas of assistance has been Britain's deployment of mass production of Octopus interceptors designed to destroy Iranian-Russian drones that attack Ukrainian infrastructure. These systems will form part of a new technological support strategy based on real combat experience of war.

Special attention is paid to the launch of the LEAP initiative, a joint programme to develop autonomous drones. These are seen as a more affordable and effective alternative to expensive air defence systems.

The new projects will be based on technologies already tested in combat conditions in Ukraine. According to Pollard, it is practical solutions, not declarations, that are the main factor in deterring Russian aggression.

The statement came on the eve of another anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion. According to the British minister's assessment, the Kremlin has not achieved its goals, while NATO has become more united and powerful.

Putin thought he would win the war in three days. He was wrong. Now he is facing a stronger, more united and bigger NATO, while Ukraine continues to fight with great courage," Pollard said.
