Kuleba: The counter-offensive is not a decisive battle

The final battle, the result of which will lead to the complete liberation of the Ukrainian territories.

This was reported by Ukrayinska Pravda, citing a joint briefing by the foreign ministers of the Nordic countries and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.

The counterattack, despite its importance, is not a decisive battle that will lead to the complete liberation of Ukrainian territories. It will only be determined after all combat operations have been completed. The number of counterattacks will depend on the situation on the battlefield, and this is not a conflict that can be frozen," the Ukrainian foreign minister said.

Dmytro Kuleba stressed that a counteroffensive should not be seen as a decisive battle, and people who see it that way "distort the picture of the Ukrainian efforts". He stressed that Ukraine will not stop until its territories are fully liberated and will continue fighting until the end.

At the same time, a visit to Odessa by the foreign ministers of several countries, including Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Denmark, Iceland, Norway and Sweden, as well as the deputy state secretary of the Finnish Foreign Ministry, was accompanied by statements of support for Ukraine to fight against Russian aggression until final victory, Interfax-Ukraine reported

Kai Sauer, deputy state secretary at the Finnish Foreign Ministry, stressed that his country supported the Ukrainian people and was ready to take part in the reconstruction of Ukraine and help in its accession to the European Union.

Latvian Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkevics advocated the start of negotiations on Ukraine's accession to the EU by the end of 2023. Estonia's Foreign Minister, Margus Zahkna, stressed his country's readiness to support Ukraine in every possible way until the war is won, and also advocated the creation of a Special Tribunal for Russia.

Iceland's foreign minister, Thordis Kolbrun Reykfjord Gylfadottir, addressed the common history between Iceland and Ukraine, saying that she was ready to do everything possible to support Ukraine.

It is also known that support for Ukraine will be high on the agenda at the Council of Europe summit of heads of states and governments in Reykjavik on 16-17 May.

We shall remind you that the Nordic foreign ministers visited Kiev exactly five months ago.
