KSCA: air pollution level in Kyiv remains high
The KSCA recommends citizens limit their stay on the street.
Approach to the maximum permissible concentration of suspended particles (dust) was recorded in the capital. This was reported to the KSCA.
The source of dust formation is outside the territorial boundaries of the city of Kyiv. The increase in concentration occurs due to the movement of dust from the southeast by air masses, the KSCA informed in Telegram.
The KSCA also spoke about air pollution on the left and right banks of the capital.
As of 9:15 am, on the left bank, the content of suspended particles is 273 μg/m3; on the right bank - 316 μg/m3 (the maximum allowable concentration is 500 μg/m3), the Kyiv City State Administration reported.
Exceeding the MPC of other pollutants monitored (nitrogen oxide and dioxide, sulfur oxide, ozone, formaldehyde, carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulfide) was not detected.
To improve the situation with the state of the air, the KSCA recommends:
- close the windows of the house;
- do not go outside once again;
- to drink a lot of water;
- if there is an air cleaner, turn it on to the maximum.
