When the heating season ends in Kyiv
In Kyiv, the heating season will end on 8 April.
Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko announced this.
According to official information from the capital's authorities, the heating season in Kyiv will end on 8 April. The city authorities made such a decision due to weather conditions, as the capital is expected to experience steady, significant warming.
Mayor Klitschko noted that the decision to end the heating season is based on weather conditions, people's comfort and rational use of energy resources.
This year, too, we are not waiting for April 15, and stop delivery of heat to buildings earlier.
It will take a few days for the system to switch to the summer mode of operation. The capital's centralised heat supply system is one of the largest in Europe. It has over 2.7 thousand km of heating networks, three powerful CHPs, and almost two hundred heat supply stations and boiler houses.
It is worth noting that the heating season has already been completed, particularly in Dnipro, Odesa, Mykolayiv and Poltava.
