Klitschko appealed to the Western countries with a request
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko fears that Ukrainians may freeze next winter.
This is reported by The Telegraph.
Klitschko addressed the Western allies:
Ukrainians will freeze to death this winter unless the West urgently sends blankets and generators to keep them warm.
Earlier, Klitschko said that experts estimate the shortage of electricity in the city in the range of 25-50%.
Also earlier, the head of the Kyiv OVA Oleksiy Kuleba said that the Kyiv region is 99 percent ready for the heating season. However, the authorities understand all the military threats that may arise. Kuleba emphasized:
The heating season has already started. Of course, hospitals, schools and kindergartens were connected first of all. We plan to connect all the other houses. We are 99 percent ready. There will be crises, there will be fires, there will be damage to critical infrastructure.
