In Russia, payments for war wounded have been reduced
Russian dictator instructed the government to charge less for compensation for Russian soldiers.
Kremlin President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree "On one-off payments to certain categories of persons". The document reduces payments to those Russian military personnel who received "light wounds" or "other light injuries" during combat operations against the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to local media, the payment for severe wounds will remain unchanged - it is three million rubles (about 1 million 260 thousand hryvnias).
The payment for light wounds will be one million rubles (about 420 thousand hryvnia), and for other light injuries - 100 thousand rubles (about 42 thousand hryvnia).
Until now, in Russia, any injury, regardless of its severity, was given three million rubles.
In case of death of a soldier, his family is also entitled to five million rubles.
The Russian Federation said that the revision of the payments was dictated by "the desire to restore justice".
