In Kharkiv, Russians attacked the city centre: Gosprom destroyed, there are victims
On the evening of 28 October, the Russian military launched an air strike on Kharkiv using guided bombs, presumably of the FAB-500 type. This was reported by Kharkiv mayor Ihor Terekhov and the head of the Kharkiv regional military administration, Oleh Sinegubov.
First, Mayor Terekhov informed about explosions in the city centre and urged residents to be careful, as repeated attacks are possible. A fire started at the site of the strike and six casualties are known at the moment. Among the damaged facilities are a medical centre and an administrative building. Also, according to the head of the Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak, the building of the Gosprom, a historic architectural landmark protected by UNESCO, was hit.
Attacks on Kharkiv using guided aerial bombs have become a regular occurrence in recent days, local authorities said.
