In Germany, an Afghan man seriously injured a Ukrainian refugee woman with a knife
The Ukrainian tried to run away from the attacker, but fell down and the Afghan continued to stab her.
A 19-year-old Afghan man with a knife attacked a 41-year-old Ukrainian woman in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. The woman was seriously injured. This was reported by Bild on 11 June.
The police soon arrested the man, who had not previously come to the attention of the police. He was hiding from the police in the bushes.
The woman, who had fled to Germany to escape the war in Ukraine, sat down on a bench in a park on the banks of the river Main at about 13:55. Out of the blue, the perpetrator approached her from behind, grabbed her by the shoulder and stabbed her several times in the head and neck.
The victim managed to free herself from his grasp and ran away. After a few metres she stumbled and fell. The attacker rushed after her and again stabbed the woman lying on the ground.
Passers-by heard her screams and rushed to her aid. At that moment, the young man let go of the woman and fled in the direction of Oskar-von-Miller-Strasse. The eyewitnesses rendered first aid and dialled the emergency number.
The suspect who was hiding in the bushes was arrested. He was carrying a carving knife. According to media reports, his name is Mohammad Zaman A.
Earlier Socialportal reported that in Germany in the city of Hockenheim found dead 27-year-old refugee from Ukraine, who was previously reported missing. The girl's body was found by a passer-by on the banks of the Rhine.
