IKEA will also lay off workers in Russia
This was reported by the press service of IKEA.
They say they have taken the next step to scale down their business in Russia and Belarus.
On March 3, the IKEA group of companies announced the suspension of IKEA activities in the Russian Federation and Belarus due to the war in Ukraine. Stores there have ceased operations, but the company has retained a 6-month salary for all employees.
Now the import and export of IKEA products to the Russian Federation and Belarus, as well as from these countries, will stop. Two purchasing and logistics offices in Moscow and Minsk, owned by IKEA, will close permanently.
