How Sarah Jessica Parker turned Uggs into a fashion manifesto
Sarah Jessica Parker has always been known for her love of spectacular footwear.
That's why her collaboration with Ugg looks like a logical continuation of the actress' fashion career.
Yes, they are not the stilettos that her character Carrie Bradshaw loves so much, but massive and cosy Ugg boots can also become an accent of any image. Even the simplest jeans and a T-shirt with them look much more interesting. And the main thing is that they are incredibly comfortable. As the actress notes in an interview with Elle, it is comfort that became the main argument in favour of cooperation.
"You don't have to be afraid of sore feet or blisters," says Parker. - The fur inside makes Uggs the cosiest winter boots ever."
Ugg's collaboration with Sarah continues, and the brand recently released a video celebrating Ugg's influence on modern culture. In it, the actress shares her perspective on style, comfort and the power of comforts.
According to the actress, this project didn't feel like a regular ad campaign.
"It felt like a reunion of friends," Parker admits. - Ugg brought together people from fashion, sports, music and design. It reminded me that Uggs are not just a shoe, they are part of a cultural context."
Uggs have indeed come a long way - from surfers' favourite footwear to fashion shows in Paris.
"People love them not just for the look, but for the way they feel in them," she adds.
When the actress was asked what model of Ugg her character Carrie Bradshaw would wear, she chose the Classic Ultra Mini Platform, a minimalistic platform Ugg.
"Carrie didn't follow fashion rules. She would have easily paired them with a vintage skirt or ripped sports trousers," smiles Sarah.
It's not just fashion that matters to Parker, but how it brings people together.
"I'm always touched when people feel an emotional connection to the designs. It's not just purchases or likes - it's engagement. With Carrie, with Ugg - it's not fans, it's community."
The actress emphasises that this campaign is not about the past, but about the future. Ugg remains an iconic brand, but continues to evolve, integrating different voices and styles.
"What's important is that they show: comfort and fashion can co-exist," she says.
Parker is confident: she tries to bring Carrie's spirit of curiosity for detail and openness to experimentation to every project. Even when it comes to warm winter footwear.
