GUR says how many drones the Russian Federation can produce per month
In addition to strike drones, the Kremlin is also actively producing so-called "decoys."
Russia has significantly increased the production of Shahed-type kamikaze attack drones. The capacity of the aggressor country's factories can now produce up to 2,700 units per month. This was reported by a representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of Ukraine Andriy Yusov in an interview with Novosti.Live.
According to him, we are talking about drones "Geran-2" - as the Russians call Iranian "Shaheds".
In addition to combat drones, the Kremlin is also actively producing "dupes" - drones without a combat part, designed to distract and deplete Ukrainian air defences.
Yusov stressed that Russia is not capable of releasing thousands of Shaheds every day, but pointed out that hundreds of drones are regularly involved in combined attacks along with missiles.
"We see hundreds of Shaheds as part of massive strikes along with missiles. This is a serious challenge for our air defence and missile defence forces, as well as for our partners who help defend Ukraine's skies," he said.
Ukraine's defence forces continue to build up capabilities to counter attack drones such as Shahed and Geranium. An echeloned system will be created to counter Russian UAVs.
