US citizens in Russia and Ukraine must leave these countries immediately.
This was at a briefing on Thursday, March 31, said the head of the press service of the US State Department, Ned Price.
We take seriously our responsibility to keep US citizens informed of developments that may affect their safety and security while traveling or outside the United States, Price said.
In early March, Price had already recommended that US citizens leave Russia immediately.
The US Embassy has severe restrictions on providing assistance to US citizens, and conditions, including transportation options, may change suddenly, the US State Department noted.
