Germany will invest more to ensure European security.
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz wrote about this in an article for Foreign Affairs magazine.
He said that Germany intends to become a guarantor of European security and that this is the move expected of it by its allies. Scholz wrote:
Germany is therefore keen to become a guarantor of European security as our allies expect, to build bridges within the European Union and to be a champion of multilateral solutions to global problems.
The German chancellor also believes that Germany's security, well-being and democracy depend on adherence to common security rules.
