Germany, together with many other countries from all corners of the world, stands firmly on the side of Ukraine, Annalena Berbock assured.

The head of the German Foreign Ministry, Annalena Berbock, has arrived in Ukraine on a visit. This was reported by the press service of the German Foreign Ministry.

It is reported that the purpose of Annalena Berbock's trip is to assure Ukrainian partners, even despite the worsening situation in the combat zones, that Germany and Europe will continue to stand firmly on the side of Ukraine and will not stop their support.

It is noted that the global initiative to strengthen Ukraine's air defences, which Annaleni Berbock recently launched together with German Defence Minister Pistorius, should also be seen in this context.

It is reported that almost a billion euros have now been raised to provide additional support for Ukrainian air defence.

Our support is based on a deep belief that Ukraine will win this war. Putin suggests that we will eventually run out of air, but we have endurance. Germany, along with many other countries from all corners of the world, stands firmly on the side of Ukraine. This is what the people of Ukraine can count on in the long term," the German foreign minister said.

She said that "Putin in his imperial madness wanted to take over Ukraine, but instead he has firmly fused it with Europe.

Our fate as Europeans has never been more closely linked to that of Ukraine. Ukraine is defending its freedom with great determination and in doing so is fighting for the freedom of us all. Ukraine's accession to the EU is a necessary geopolitical consequence of Russia's war of aggression, which violates international law," Annalena Berbok said.

She emphasised that Ukraine has made impressive progress and is on the path of reforms despite Russia's destructiveness. Now it is important not to slacken efforts in judicial reform, the fight against corruption and media freedom.

Socialportal earlier reported that German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock cut short her visit to Mykolaiv on 25 February after her motorcade was harassed by a Russian drone.
