Forced evacuation of children announced in 8 settlements of Donbas
Mandatory evacuation of children has been announced in 8 localities in the Bakhmut and Pokrovskyy districts of Donetsk Region. It is planned to move about 250 children to safe areas.
The corresponding decision was taken at a meeting of the Coordination Headquarters on mandatory evacuation, the Ministry of Reintegration reported.
It is planned to evacuate all children, accompanied by a parent or legal representative, before the onset of cold weather.
The evacuees are first sent to a humanitarian hub. There they can rest, eat and receive all possible support and assistance. Next, they will be received by Zhytomyr region. There they will be provided with shelter, social payments, humanitarian aid and psychological support free of charge," the ministry said.
So far, 41 children have been taken out. However, there are still about 250 children in Bakhmut and Pokrovskyi districts, where the situation remains critical.
The Ministry reminded that there are several ways to inform about the desire to evacuate:
- by contacting representatives of local authorities;
- by calling the hotline of the Ministry of Reintegration: 15-48;
- to write to the Ministry of Reintegration in messengers WhatsApp/Telegram/Viber to the number: (096) 078-84-33.
