Experts have calculated the losses from the destruction of infrastructure in Ukraine by the occupiers

This is stated in the press release of the Kyiv School of Economics.

As of June 8, the adjusted total amount of direct damage to the Ukrainian economy from damage and destruction of residential and non-residential buildings and infrastructure is $103.9 billion, or UAH 3 trillion.

A certain decrease in the total amount of direct damage to infrastructure (by $2.6 billion) is due to the recalculation of losses inflicted on certain categories of railway infrastructure facilities, religious and cultural buildings, as well as losses of passenger cars. At the same time, the “organic” increase in the value of damaged / destroyed property as a result of hostilities over the past week is $ 1 billion, the report says.

In particular, over the past week there has been an increase in damage to businesses, educational institutions and health care, kindergartens, administrative buildings and warehouse infrastructure.

Damage caused due to destruction and damage

• Ukrainian enterprises, has already reached $11.5 billion,
• educational institutions — $1.6 billion,
• medical institutions - $ 1.1 billion,
• kindergartens - $ 576 million.

In general, since the beginning of the Russian war against Ukraine, at least 44.8 million square meters of housing, 256 enterprises, 6.3 thousand railway lines, 656 medical institutions, 1177 educational institutions, 668 kindergartens, 198 warehouses, 20 shopping centers, 28 oil depots have been damaged, destroyed or seized. .

At the same time, as of June 8, analysts also specified the amount of damage to railway infrastructure and rolling stock. Compared to the previous report, damage in this category has decreased by $1 billion and as of June 8 amounted to $2.7 billion. As a result of hostilities, 6.3 thousand tracks and 41 bridges were damaged.
