Two more countries will return their diplomatic missions to Kyiv

A number of countries have declared their readiness to resume the full-fledged work of their diplomatic missions in Ukraine.

Belgium and France intend to resume the work of their diplomatic missions in Kyiv.

In particular, after the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the European Union in Luxembourg, Belgian Foreign Minister Sophie Wilmes announced the decision to reopen the consulate in Ukraine.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is now preparing for the opening of the Belgian embassy in Kyiv, Wilmes said.

It is known that in March the embassy was closed for security reasons, and employees were evacuated.

The French embassy will also return to Kyiv in the near future. This was announced by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

This will further deepen the support that France provides to Ukraine in all areas, the ministry said in a statement.

Earlier, the embassy was evacuated to Lviv.
