Experts illustrated the possible spread of radiation.

Experts have published pictures of the movement of a potential radiation cloud in accordance with the wind rose. So, in the event of an accident at the ZNPP at this time, the radiation cloud will move to the southeast, covering part of the south of Ukraine, but will also reach the southwestern regions of Russia. This is stated in the Telegram channel of Energoatom.

They talked about different scenarios for the possible spread of radiation.

So, if a radiation leak occurs between August 26 and August 28 before 16:00, then due to weather conditions, radiation can cover most of Ukraine.

During the period from 29 to 31 August until 12:00, the radiation pollution may cover the south and east of Ukraine.

If we assume that the accident will happen on Monday , on August 29 the radiation cloud will cover part of the south of Ukraine and the southwestern regions of Russia.

In the event of a threat, people in potentially dangerous areas were advised not to stay unnecessarily and with respiratory protection in open areas, as well as to carry out iodine prophylaxis. The population was also advised to seal the premises (windows, doors), turn off air conditioners, fans, close ventilation ducts and chimneys.

They also suggested sealing food, water, clothing, and not going to forests or rivers.
