Ex-Deputy Minister of Economy has been granted a preventive measure of restraint
The SACS has selected a measure of restraint for a former high-ranking official suspected of abuse during the procurement of foodstuffs as humanitarian aid.
It is about the former Deputy Minister of Economy, reports the press service of the SAP.
The suspect elected a measure of restraint in the form of bail in the amount of 939 400 UAH. In addition, the suspect was obliged:
- to arrive on demand to the detective, the Prosecutor and the court;
- not to leave Kyiv without the permission of the detective, prosecutor and court;
- to inform the detective, prosecutor or court about changes in his place of residence and work;
- refrain from communicating with other suspects and witnesses in the case;
- to deposit with the relevant state authorities his passport(s) for travelling abroad, other documents entitling him to leave Ukraine and enter Ukraine.
We shall remind you that the first Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food and the former Deputy Minister of Economy are suspected of misuse of more than 62 million during the purchase of products as humanitarian aid. They bought food products at an inflated price for residents of Donetsk, Kherson, Sumy, Zaporizhzhya, Kiev, Khmelnytskyy, Dnipropetrovsk and Poltava regions and the city of Kiev.
At the same time, according to the mass media, on 31 August, the deputy head of the Agriculture Ministry was granted a preventive measure in the form of a bail of 805,000 hryvnyas.
