Director of RT Anton Krasovsky

The director of the Russian propaganda channel Russia Today was charged with public calls for the genocide of Ukrainians.

This was reported by the press service of the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.

According to the investigation, during January-April 2022, the broadcasting director of the RT channel Krasovsky carried out public calls for the genocide of the Ukrainian people and the violent change and overthrow of the constitutional order. The Russian propagandist on the YouTube channel and in his own Telegram channel called for the physical destruction of a part of the Ukrainian people, turned the Russian audience against the Ukrainians, and convinced the expediency of resolving conflicts between Russia and Ukraine with the use of violence. He also called for the overthrow of the constitutional order in Ukraine and the liquidation of its statehood.

The Office of the Prosecutor General does not give the name of the suspect, however, it is likely that it is about Anton Krasovsky, who currently holds the position of broadcasting director of the RT channel.

The pre-trial investigation continues.
